Former River City star Gary Lamont reveals he is 'second wave coronavirus survivor'

Former River City actor Gary Lamont revealed that he is a 'second wave coronavirus' survivor.

Taking to his Instagram stories, Gary spoke to his followers and told them that he has been in isolation for ten days but there were points where he thought 'this is it'.

Speaking on his stories, he said: "So I've had the Covid. I'm a second wave covid survivor. It's real, it's scary, it's hideous, I'm chesty, I'm still alive, it's grim."

He added: "I've seen a lot of people moaning about it, lockdown and why we doing this why we not doing that...

"It is real. So shut up your moaning, wash your hands and get a mask on. If you're fortunate enough and young enough to survive it, good but we need to protect the people who won't survive it so shut up your moaning and do what you're told because it's hideous folks, it's f*****g hideous."

The Outlander actor then tried to shed some light on the situation, he said: "Can't believe I've just outed myself as a covid survivor, in all honesty I've been in for ten days then I've got one more day of isolation then I'm free."

Gary then explained to his 11,300 followers what having the virus is like. He said: "Sense of smell goes and taste goes you just feel weird. First week presents like a viral thing, you're a bit like 'I feel a bit odd, a bit weird' and this past week has been coughing and spluttering and breathing issues and all that sh*t."

The 36-year-old added: "Yeah I'm young and fit and healthy but at some points I was like 'this is it', this is it, still look like a bag of shite, this is the first day where I don't feel foggy, you get this brain fog and total fatigue."
