Former Premier League referee Dermot Gallagher has offered his verdict on the key decisions during Chelsea's 2-2 draw with Arsenal on Tuesday.
David Luiz was sent off for bringing down Tammy Abraham in the first half as the Chelsea striker was denied a goal-scoring chance.
Jorginho converted the spot-kick before Gabriel Martinelli hit back in the second half. Cesar Azpilicueta restored Chelsea's lead in the 84th minute, only for Hector Bellerin to equalise three minutes later.
But the big talking point from the game was Luiz's red card and Gallagher has insisted that the decision was correct.
"I think it's very difficult. If you go with your feet you can say you went for the ball but not when you go in with your arms," Gallagher explained on Sky Sports' Ref Watch.
"The referee has done very well. At the point of the contact (Shkodran) Mustafi is way off the ball and Abraham would have just rolled it in."
Gallagher also took a look at potential handballs from Shkodran Mustafi and Mamadou Sakho during the contest.
On the Mustafi incident, Gallagher said: "It definitely hits his arm but he has got nowhere to go. It's definitely not a penalty."
Gallagher also had the same view on the potential Sakho handball, adding: "It strikes his arm but he's taking his arm away and he's doing his best to take it away."
