Former Washington Redskins wide receiver Rashad Ross is one of the few AAF players making his way back to the NFL.
As we noted in the past, Ross was one of the most electric weapons in the AAF, which just closed its doors abruptly and permitted players to sign with the NFL starting Thursday.
Ross himself confirmed he was heading to the Carolina Panthers.
It’s an interesting bit of news from a Redskins perspective. Ross had major upside with the Redskins but didn’t win out in end-of-roster battles before bouncing around with other teams.
But Ross was available again and those Redskins have a big need at the position, so it is fair to wonder if brass in the front office considered reaching out after his performance in the AAF.
Either way, Ross gets his chance after showing what he can do in a different league.
