Former Redskins safety Su’a Cravens cut by Broncos

Su’a Cravens is on the free-agent market after getting cut by the Denver Broncos.

Cravens is a former Washington Redskins second-round pick who didn’t live up to expectations under the guidance of new Broncos coach Vic Fangio.

Those Redskins traded Cravens to the Broncos for a fifth-round pick after he missed the 2017 season and informed the team he had planned to retire. His departure from Washington was a messy one and he’s recently spoken out about the team while it deals with Trent Williams’ holdout.

Cravens, for better or worse, remains a big topic of discussion for Redskins fans. He’s only 24 years old and should find a chance somewhere if he intends to keep playing, though a return to Washington would seem borderline impossible.
