Former Redskins QB Case Keenum agrees to three-year deal with Cleveland Browns

It didn’t take long for former Washington Redskins quarterback Case Keenum to find a new home. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Keenum has signed a three-year deal with the Cleveland Browns that will pay him $18 million, with $10 million guaranteed.

Keenum will be linking up with Browns’ new head coach Kevin Stefanski, who was his offensive coordinator with the Minnesota Vikings.

It will be tough for Keenum to earn a ton of playing time behind Baker Mayfield, who many people are still expecting to break out in his third season. Still, Keenum will offer a very sound backup option should things go sideways with Mayfield, or if he happens to get injured.

Now, with Keenum gone, the Redskins will be active in the free-agent QB market to find a backup who can compete with Dwayne Haskins going forward.
