Former Redskins LB Zach Brown lands with Eagles

The Washington Redskins will see old friend Zach Brown twice a year in the NFC East.

Brown landed with the Philadelphia Eagles in the wake of last week’s NFL draft, giving them a solid presence in the middle of their linebacking corps.

Washington had cut Brown this offseason after he was vocal about issues with the team. His cap hit of $8.75 million also contributed to that decision.

The Redskins move on from Brown with Reuben Foster, who will not have to serve a suspension after a pair of arrests last year. They also drafted Cole Holcomb in the fifth round for depth purposes.

Given the history between the two sides, it should be interesting to see how former Redskins players and Brown interact when the NFC East rivals get together in Week 1 next season.
