Former Redskin Su’a Cravens blasts team on Twitter

As training camp came and went, the buzz around Washington Redskins left tackle Trent Williams, and his absence from the team, started to die down.

As of Monday morning, it has once again been refueled, this time after former Redskin Su’a Cravens weighed in on Twitter about the situation.

Cravens was traded to the Denver Broncos in March of 2018 after missing the entire 2017 season. It was a muddled situation where the linebacker left the team during preseason, pondered retiring from football and was eventually placed on the reserve list in September of 2017. Cravens suffered a knee injury in the preseason before concussion issues came up later in the year.

In his extensive thread, multiple times Craven proclaimed that the Redskins organization is guilty of withholding medical information and mishandling injuries. He also claims that once he was put onto the exempt list, Washington went out of its way to cut off his insurance and refused to pay him.

After two seasons, Craven is still waiting to settle with the Redskins, but there seems to be no end in sight between the two. If this is even a glimpse at what the future holds for Williams’ relationship with the team, it could get very ugly.
