Former Redskin Josh Doctson placed on IR in Minnesota with leg injury

The Washington Redskins have been infested with the injury bug over the past several years, and it appears now that even when players leave the organization, they can’t always escape its grasp.

It was announced on Thursday morning that former Redskins wide receiver Josh Doctson will be placed on the IR with his current team, the Minnesota Vikings, after suffering a leg injury. He is being placed on the IR with a designation for return, meaning that his season isn’t currently over, but he will miss the next several weeks, including a game against his former team in Week 8.

Doctson had a rough start to his career in Washington, where he was never able to produce the type of numbers that the Redskins expected from him when drafting him in the first round in 2016. Now it appears that his time with the Vikings is starting out just as poorly.
