KOLKATA: Former Real Madrid defender Fernando Sanz heaped praise on FC Barcelona sensation Ansu Fati.
Ansu Fati made his return to the La Liga side, after being sidelined by injury since November 2020.
"The return of Ansu Fati is really important for FC Barcelona, and also for La Liga as a competition," Fernando said in quotes shared by La Liga.
"In his first game back, he came on for just ten minutes and scored an incredible goal against Levante. Despite spending 300 or so days out with injury, and everything that comes with that, his return to action was incredible."
The 47-year-old further added, "For the morale of Barcelona fans, it's very important. And hopefully he can continue to create such special moments in La Liga."
