Former Rangers winger Gregg Wylde axed by Clyde as five players exit Broadwood

Gregg Wylde tops the list of out of contract stars leaving Clyde as boss Danny Lennon cuts his cloth for the new campaign.

Having had his deal cancelled at Livingston in September 2019, the former Rangers winger made his return from the football wilderness with the League One side in January.

However, the 29-year-old will leave Broadwood Stadium after the conclusion of his short-term contract.

The former Ibrox kid, who also had spells at Bolton, Plymouth, St Mirren and Aberdeen, made eight appearance for The Bully Wee.

Kieran Duffie, Declan Fitzpatrick, Ross Lyon and Darren Smith will also be going through the exit door at the Cumbernauld club.

Ross Lyon has also left Clyde (Garry F McHarg Daily Record)

A club statement read: “Everyone at the club thanks the five men for their efforts during their time with The Bully Wee and wishes them all well for the future.”
