Ex-Rangers striker Kris Boyd has said Tommy Wright would be a good fit for the Kilmarnock job.
The former St Johnstone manager has been tipped for the Rugby Park hotseat after Alex Dyer left the club last weekend.
And Boyd said that if the Northern Irish boss is to take charge at the Ayrshire side, he'll need to galvanise Killie to arrest their freefalling form.
Boyd said on Sky Sports today: "By looking at the odds, you would expect Tommy Wright to be named the new Kilmarnock manager.
"And I think it's a good fit for the football club.
"Tommy Wright galvanised St Johnstone and Perth and he's going to need to do the same with Kilmarnock.
"We spoke during the week that the days of Stevie Clarke at Kilmarnock are long gone.
"Someone needs to come in and rebuild the football club and it's a big job.
"But it will be one, if Tommy Wright decides to take it, that he'll be looking forward to.
"Kilmarnock is a very good club, it's a club that gives their managers a chance.
"If he's to come in and rebuild I'm sure they will do very well under him."
