Former Rangers striker Andy Gray hit by fit of the giggles as he discusses Scott Brown’s SFA charge

For Celtic, Scott Brown’s SFA charge is no laughing matter.

But for Andy Gray, the whole thing is as hilarious – and ridiculous.

The former Rangers striker was discussing Brown being cited with Richard Keys on their beIN Sports show.

The Celtic captain was charged with "not acting in the best interest of Scottish football" after he celebrated the 2-1 win in front of the Rangers fans last Sunday.

The champions are furious with the SFA and have vowed to fight it "vigorously".

Celtic will accuse the governing body of double standards at the Hampden hearing. They will question why former Rangers forward Josh Windass was cleared of a rude gesture towards Partick Thistle fans while he celebrated a goal in 2017 yet Brown is a guilty party.

Certainly, Gray found the whole thing funny.

In between giggles, he said: "Do you see what he’s been charged with because it’s quite a strange thing. It says, 'Failure to act in the best interests of Scottish football'.

Furious Celtic to use the Josh Windass case in their fight with the SFA over Scott Brown

"He was acting, as much as I dislike it, in the best interests of Celtic Football Club.

"So that’s a strange one. I’m not so sure you can charge someone with that but we’ll see."

The chuckles continued. Celtic aren’t laughing, though.
