Former Rangers star persuades Celtic captain Scott Brown to take part in wall challenge

Scott Brown has filmed himself taking part in Kevin Thomson's '50 touches challenge'.

Former Rangers midfielder Thomson was a team-mate of Brown's in their Hibs days, and the Celtic captain is the latest of several high-profile names from the world of football to join in.

The likes of Ibrox boss Steven Gerrard and Chelsea youngster Billy Gilmour are among those who have joined in so far.

Thomson runs the Kevin Thomson Academy, which aims to train players of all ages and ability, from grassroots to professional.

He began the challenge in an attempt to keep people active during the COVID-19 lockdown, and his Scott Brown video has now been viewed almost 64,000 times on Twitter.

After his challenge was completed, Brown nominated Marc McNulty, Jason Cummings and Leigh Griffiths to take part.

Brown recently urged fans to be responsible and stay home, saying: "Everyone at the club is now right behind you. Thanks for everything you have given us, your health is everything. So we want you to do everything you can to stay safe.

"We know this is a really difficult time for so many people and we won't see for so long.

"But we want you to know that we will be back and we will be seeing you soon and we are looking forward to it.

"Look after yourself and lots of love from everybody at Celtic, we are right behind you. Take care."
