Former Rangers star Alfredo Morelos spotted back on football pitch

Alfredo Morelos has been pictured playing football back in his homeland.

The striker, 27, was released by Rangers just under three months ago.

His departure after years spent at Ibrox was confirmed by Gers on May 23. He would make his final appearance for the club the following night as they drew 2-2 with Hearts.

Ryan Kent and Scott Arfield were other high-profile departures who made their final bow for the club that day - but both of those players found new pathways relatively quickly in Turkieye and America respectively.

Morelos is still on the lookout for a new club in the meantime, as he spends time in his native Colombia.

He's posted several updates on social media of himself in the gym, keeping fit while he's without a team.

Now, he's finally been spotted back out on the pitch.

Morelos was last night tagged in an Instagram story by Luis Angulo, believed to be his friend.

A photo was shared showing the frontman a bright yellow bib in a large group who had been playing football.

Morelos was tagged in another picture by 'Selecormed,' a football team containing doctors from the Colombian region of Cordoba.

It seems the striker took the opportunity to work on his fitness while also having some fun.

Morelos is understood to want to continue his career in Europe, but the most recent club to be linked with a move is Brazilian giants Santos.
