Former Rangers youth defender Harris O'Connor looks set to snub a move to Airdrieonians after going on trial with English Championship side Stoke City.
It's understood English Premier League side Watford and League One outfit Sunderland are also interested, making it unlikely the youngster will see his future at New Broomfield.
O'Connor is a free agent after leaving Ibrox and last week Lanarkshire Live Sport told how the 19-year-old was on trial with the Diamonds and boss Ian Murray was impressed with his display for the club in the pre-season NL Cup.
He said: "Harris is a really talented player but he is still young.
"We just need to weigh up the options with him and be fair to him in terms of how many minutes he could get at Airdrie next season.

"We've got a lot of cover on the right side of our defence with Sam Wardrop and Craig Watson.
"He's been with us for four or five sessions and he's got a fantastic attitude."
