Former Rangers defender signs as side begin mini rebuild to push up table

Cumnock have added a number of fresh faces to their squad as they look to steer away from a relegation fight.

Andy Dowie, who started his career at Ibrox, looks to be the marquee signing.

The 6ft 1in centre-back has played over 500 games in the senior Scottish game with the likes of Partick Thistle, Queen of the South, Ross County and Dumbarton.

Other signings include former Queen of the South midfielder Owen Bell, former Ayr United and Kilwinning man Kieran McLaughlin and Ryan Caddis from Hurlford United.

Going the other way, Stephen McKenna has left to join Airdrie as a coach.

Chris Hunter and Jordan Banks have left on loan, joining Lugar and Maybole respectively.
