Former Rangers attacker confirms transfer to Dumbarton after trialist appearance

Former Rangers winger Gregg Wylde has returned to the SPFL and left East Kilbride for League One side Dumbarton.

Kilby boss Chris Aitken confirmed a deal was in the works over the weekend and Wylde featured as a trialist for Dumbarton in their loss to Falkirk on Saturday.

A move has now been confirmed and the former Rangers star ends his EK stint after joining the Lowland League club last summer.

The 30-year-old started his career at Rangers and won an SPL title with the Glasgow side, before going on to depart Ibrox for Bolton.

He's since turned out for Aberdeen, St Mirren, Plymouth and Millwall, amongst other teams. He last played SPFL football with Clyde in 2020.

Sons manager Stevie Farrell said: "Gregg is a vastly experienced player who has performed very well for East Kilbride in the first half of this season.

"He is ready for a return to the SPFL and has a lot to offer us. We look forward to having him with us for the rest of the season."
