Former Rams OLB Connor Barwin retires from NFL

Connor Barwin announced his retirement from the NFL on Monday night with a post on Instagram. He spent 10 years in the league and recorded 56.5 career sacks with the Texans, Eagles, Rams and Giants.

Barwin was only with the Rams for one season in 2017, helping fortify their pass rush opposite Robert Quinn at outside linebacker. He had five sacks, 34 tackles and 12 QB hits that year. He ranked fourth in sacks and tied for second in QB hits on the team in 2017.

After his one-year contract expired in 2018, Barwin signed with the Giants. He didn’t play this season, though, after the Giants released him in February.
