A former Queensland police officer has been charged with hacking and disclosing "official secrets" after a joint agency probe.

The Crime and Corruption Commission says the 41-year-old was charged with six offences on Thursday after a joint probe with the police Ethical Standards Command.

The watchdog didn't outline the details of allegations but said it had acted on a tip-off from police.

"The investigation focused on allegations of unauthorised access and disclosure of confidential information by the former officer," the CCC said on Friday

The person was charged with four counts of hacking and two counts of disclosing official secrets.

The former officer is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on June 14.
