A 1950s pumping station with stunning views could become a new bar and restaurant.
The Southport pumping station, which has been empty for years, was put up for sale earlier this year by Sefton Council.
It has now been revealed that it's been bought, with a council report stating that four bids were received.

Sefton Council Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Skills, Cllr Marion Atkinson wrote in a recent cabinet member update report: "A marketing exercise was undertaken earlier this year which concluded in July 2021, responding to the wider regeneration drive for Southport, in part linked to the Development of the Town Investment Plan.
"Four submissions were received, and a preferred purchaser identified. Due diligence is underway for use of this facility for a food and beverage use."
The former pumping station, on Esplanade, is a split level building, with its lower ground floor opening out onto Kings Gardens.
It was the subject of a planning application in 2017.
The application sent to the council outlined plans to convert the building into a two-floor restaurant at the site with nine parking spaces.
Permission was granted, but time has now lapsed for the plans.
