Former President Barack Obama dines at Ayesha Curry’s restaurant in SF

Over the years, Stephen Curry and President Barack Obama have developed a bond with each other. Whether it is a golfing excursion in the offseason to organizing an event for his team on an off day in Washington D.C. It is safe to say that Obama is close with Curry.

On President’s Day, they got together again. This time, Obama dined at Ayesha Curry’s restaurant, International Smoke, in San Francisco on Monday night, SFGate’s Amy Graff and Katie Dowd reported.

Michael Mina, one of the co-owners of International Smoke, shared an Instagram post of himself with the Currys and Obama. In his post, he wrote: “No greater privilege than to cook for this man on Presidents’ Day. Thank you for the highest honor.”

Obama is in town for a three-day national convention in Oakland. It will be hosted by his My Brother’s Keeper Alliance which is aimed to support young boys and men of color. Curry and Obama will be hosting a town hall that will be a part of the event on Tuesday, which will conclude on Wednesday.

The event will be live-streamed here. Here are the times when the sessions will occur:

Tuesday, Feb. 19, 3 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Wednesday, Feb. 20, 9:30 a.m. – 11 a.m.
Wednesday, Feb. 20, 3:30 p.m. – 5 p.m

Who knows? Maybe we will see Obama sitting courtside on Thursday night at Oracle Arena. That would be quite a treat for DubNation.
