The Premier League returned this weekend following the international break, with some key decisions leading to much debate among fans and pundits alike.
While all the talk was seemingly being centred around the events at Old Trafford yesterday (Sunday), the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium also saw its fair share of debatable calls on Saturday afternoon.
Spurs were looking to return to winning ways when they took on Watford, and although Mauricio Pochettino's side put a stop to their losing run, they were forced to settle for a point thanks to Dele Alli's late equaliser.
And former Premier League referee Dermot Gallagher has now offered up his view on the other major talking points from the game.
Incident: Jan Vertonghen brings down Gerard Deulofeu inside the box.
Dermot Gallagher verdict: “Yes (it is a penalty). The ball is the clue. At no point does Vertonghen get the ball.
“I think this is one they will reflect back on when they meet at camp and say why didn’t we give this a penalty?
"What is the reason and how you are going to progress forward, because if that happens next week you are bound to give a penalty."
Incident: Roberto Pereyra brings down Danny Rose inside the Watford box.
Dermot Gallagher verdict : "No penalty. Initiates contact.”
Incident: Son Heung-min body checked by Craig Cathcart inside the Watford box.
Dermot Gallagher verdict: "No penalty. I think Cathcart does nothing wrong.
"He’s always in that position and Son goes into him. Just think he stands his ground and not a penalty for me."
