Former Premier League managers in frame for Nottingham Forest job as huge favourite named

There is one odds-on favourite for the vacant Nottingham Forest job as the club search for a new manager to take the reigns.

A disappointing start to the new season saw Chris Hughton relieved of his duties last week with Steven Reid taking charge in the caretaker manager role for the Championship clash against Huddersfield Town.

Forest came out as 2-0 winners thanks to goals from Lewis Grabban and an own goal from Lee Nicholls.

Ahead of that game, it was reported that Forest had agreed compensation with Swansea City for manager Steve Cooper.

Following the game against the Terriers, Reid said he didn’t know if it would be his only game in charge.

"I don't know at all,” he said.

"I'll probably get some information over the next couple of days, and see where we go.

"I've got no information at the moment. I'm not sure if something is close to being done or whether it's going to take a little bit more time.

"I'll just carry on as usual, carrying on doing the job the club have asked me to do for the moment, and see what happens over the next few days.”

According to bookmakers SkyBet , Cooper is still the overwhelming favourite to be the next Forest manager with odds of 1/20.

The next favourite is former Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder who is priced at 8/1, while Eddie Howe has a price of 18/1 with the bookmakers.

The latest odds can be found below.
