Former Premier League boss makes Sir Alex Ferguson and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer claim at Manchester United

Former Premier League manager Ian Holloway believes that Sir Alex Ferguson would be happy with the job Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is doing at Manchester United.

United have picked up five points from their first four matches in the Premier League this season with pressure starting to build on Solskjaer after a 2-1 defeat to Crystal Place and a 1-1 draw at Southampton.

However, Holloway thinks that any criticism of the United boss has 'unbelievably harsh', explaining to the TheSackRace : "I’m a bit sick and fed up of it to be honest. He’s earned his stripes and earned that job.

"Would Sir Alex Ferguson be happy with him in the job? Yes, I think so.

"Let him build, give him a couple of windows, then see what’s happening.

"Why are we so quick to judge all the time? I think it’s going to be a long time before Solskjaer even gets the chance to replicate what Manchester City are doing, so just chill out and give him a chance.

"I don’t make the draw against Southampton out to be a big an issue as everybody else. With what Ralph Hassenhuttl did last season, I always expected Southampton to do a bit better this time around so I’m not surprised.

"I certainly don’t think it’s a crisis."

United are back in action after the international break as they host Leicester City at Old Trafford.
