Former Pointless co-host Richard Osman marries Doctor Who star

Former Pointless star Richard Osman has married Doctor Who actress Ingrid Oliver two years after they met at a dinner party. The House of Games host and best-selling author announced the news on Instagram after they tied the knot recently with Oliver in a gorgeous, sleek, plunge-neck gown and Osman wearing a deep blue suit.

Posting a picture of himself and Ingrid hand in hand and smiling widely, Richard gushed that they were "so so happy" and described the wedding as "magical" and "joyful". He said: "The most magical, joyful day on Saturday with my beautiful wife @ingrid_oliver. Surrounded by wonderful friends and family, a day full of love and laughter. We're so, so happy" followed by two red love heart emojis.

The couple received many congratulations from fellow celebrities. Actress Verona Rose commented: "Congratulations, wishing you many more magical and joyful days together" followed by a red love heart emoji and comedian Thanyia Moore said: "Awwwww congratulations!! What a beautiful picture" followed by a red love heart emoji.

Richard, 52, reportedly met actress Ingrid, 45, at a dinner party two years ago with the couple beginning dating shortly after. Actress Ingrid is known for playing Petronella Osgood in Doctor Who, as well as being one half of the comedy duo Watson and Oliver.

She has also had roles in Peep Show, Silent Witness and the film Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging. Earlier in 2022 Richard announced he would be leaving the BBC One show Pointless, which he co-created and co-hosted with Alexander Armstrong.

Richard, who has two grown-up children from a previous relationship, announced the news in April 2022, he said: “Pointless has been a joy from start to finish, working alongside my friend Alexander Armstrong, backed by the most wonderful team, and for the best viewers in the world. I will miss everyone so much, but I’m thrilled that I’ll still be presenting the celebrity shows. I can’t thank everyone enough for twelve amazing years.”
