Former Patriots LB Jamie Collins gets ejected in extremely odd fashion

Former New England Patriots linebacker Jamie Collins had a really odd debut with the Detroit Lions.

Collins was kicked out of the game after making illegal contact with an official in the first half. He lowered his helmet and made contact with the officials chest, causing an immediate ejection for unsportsmanlike conduct.

It was unclear what Collins’ intentions were, but he seemed to be explaining how Chicago Bears running back David Montgomery lowered his head on the previous play. Collins signed with Detroit over the offseason and is a key piece in the the Lions’ defense.
