Former Patriots center James Ferentz lands coaching gig with Giants

Former New England Patriots offensive lineman James Ferentz will join the New York Giants’ coaching staff as an assistant coach, per a report from the team’s official website.

This marks a Patriots reunion of sorts, as Giants head coach Brian Daboll was also part of the New England staff on several occasions.

Ferentz announced his retirement on February 19, ending a 10-year career in the NFL. He played for the Patriots from 2017-2023, appearing in 40 games and starting in 10 of them. He was also a part of two Super Bowl-winning teams with New England.

Now, he will throw his hat in the coaching ring.

Ferentz was a consistent and stable lineman throughout his time with the Patriots. He will look now to provide that same stability coaching from the sidelines for the Giants.
