Former Packers RT Bryan Bulaga agrees to sign with Chargers

Long-time Green Bay Packers right tackle Bryan Bulaga is heading to Los Angeles.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Bulaga – a first-round pick of the Packers in 2010 – has agreed to a deal with the Los Angeles Chargers.

Landing with the Chargers reconnects Bulaga with former Packers offensive line coach James Campen, who now holds the same job on Anthony Lynn’s staff in Los Angeles.

Bulaga, who turns 31 later this month, played in 115 games with 111 starts for the Packers over 10 seasons. He provided Aaron Rodgers and the Packers offense with one of the game’s toughest and most dependable right tackles.

Bulaga started all 16 games and produced one of his best pro seasons in 2019, but GM Brian Gutekunst balked at giving him a lucrative third contract.

The Packers signed former Detroit Lions offensive tackle Rick Wagner on Monday, signaling the end of Bulaga’s run in Green Bay.
