Former Packers G Josh Sitton retiring from the NFL

Pro Bowl guard Josh Sitton is joining several other notable former Green Bay Packers in retirement this offseason.

Sitton, a fourth-round pick of the Packers in 2008 who made three Pro Bowls in Green Bay, announced his retirement on the “Wilde and Tausch” radio program Thursday. He joins John Kuhn, T.J. Lang and Jordy Nelson, three former Packers who all retired earlier this offseason.

Sitton played 11 NFL seasons, including his first eight in Green Bay. He was a starter at right guard during the Packers’ Super Bowl win in 2010 and a Pro Bowler in 2012, 2014 and 2015.

The Packers released Sitton before the 2016 season. He played two years in Chicago, making another Pro Bowl in 2016 with the Bears, before finishing his career in 2018 with the Miami Dolphins.

Sitton played in 134 total games with the Packers, including the postseason. He established himself into one of the game’s toughest and most dominant guards. From 2009 to 2015, he was named to three All-Pro teams and missed only two games.
