Former OSU guard C.J. Jackson to play with Team Big X in The Basketball Tournament

By now you’re familiar with The Basketball Tournament. Many former Ohio State players have played in the winner-take-all tournament that has kind of taken a life of its own over the last couple of years. Team Scarlet and Gray captured the fancy of Buckeye fans both in 2017 and last year with large crowds at Capital University during first-round play.

That team is set to take the court again this year under a different name because of naming rights issues with the university, but it’ll be ready to take the court on the campus of Capital once again.

Now comes word that another former Ohio State basketball player is all set to take part in TBT this summer. According to the Big X Twitter feed, recently graduated guard C.J. Jackson will be a part of all the fun.

Jackson will be reunited with former Ohio State teammate Jae’Sean Tate as well as head coach Andrew Dakich as it tries to cut in on the Buckeye sentiment surrounding the artist formerly known as Team Scarlet and Gray.

The Columbus Regional at Capital University is all set to take place from July 19th-21st, with the $2 million dollar finals taking place in Chicago from August 1st-6th. All games can be seen on the ESPN family of networks.
