He recounted how he saw flames approaching his home and had to quickly gather his dog, Puddles, his insulin, a painting of his grandfather, and a religious wooden piece gifted by his daughter Gigi before fleeing towards the ocean.
Despite his achievements and cherished possessions, Hall was forced to leave behind irreplaceable family heirlooms, photos, and most likely his collection of Olympic medals. The loss of these tangible reminders of his sporting success is undoubtedly a heavy blow for the former Olympian.
