Former OKC Blue Richard Solomon added to Raptors Summer League roster

As the Las Vegas Summer League rosters start to take shape, players without a home are finding an organization to play for. Oklahoma City Blue guard Abdul Gaddy will play for the Orland Magic’s Summer League team, along with Tyler Davis, a center who also played for the Oklahoma City Thunder’s G League team in 2018-19.

It turns out Davis won’t be the only former Blue center playing for an Eastern Conference team in Las Vegas.

Richard Solomon has been added to the Toronto Raptors’ Summer League roster, according to Josh Lewenberg of TSN Sports. Solomon, a four-year player at Cal Berkley, started his professional career with the Blue back in 2014-15 before playing overseas for the next three seasons.

Solomon returned to the Thunder organization to play for the Blue again in 2018-19.

Last season, the 6-foot-11 big man averaged 13.8 points per game, while shooting 58.6 percent from the floor. Solomon also averaged one block, 1.3 steals and 8.6 rebounds per game, and he shot 70.6 percent from the free-throw line.
