Former Ohio State wrestler Kyle Snyder to represent Team USA at Worlds again

He’s done it again. Captain America will be heading to an old Soviet block country to spread democracy and technical falls — or something like that.

Wearing a custom made Captain America singlet, Kyle Snyder disposed of his old rival Kyven Gadson in two straight matches to take the best of three Final X challenge. He won the first match 4-0, then took care of business in a 12-1 technical fall in the second match to punch his ticket to the Men’s Senior Freestyle World Championships this fall in Kazakhstan.

It’s the fifth straight appearance on the Senior USA Team and he’ll once again be one of the favorites to bring home the title. He won the World Championship in 2015, 2017 and 2018, and picked up an Olympic gold medal in 2016.

The World Championships will take place between September 14 through the 22. Let’s all take a moment and wish Captain America from Ohio State luck.
