The Cincinnati Bengals have continued to improve this offseason.
From tagging AJ Green to bringing in the highest-paid nose tackle in football, they’ve made another extremely smart move by bringing in former Ohio State safety Vonn Bell.
Bell is being snagged away from the New Orleans Saints, who have bulked up on their safeties with Bell’s exodus already in mind. A team with several Buckeyes like Marshon Lattimore and Michael Thomas, the Saints will be just fine moving forward. Especially after just bringing Malcolm Jenkins back after a stint in Philadelphia.
Bell was a three-year player at Ohio State, playing in 36 games with the Buckeyes, recording 115 tackles. He was part of the national championship-winning team in 2014.
That said, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo were the first to report Bell’s signing.
Bell will be entering his fifth season in the league, having missed just three games throughout his first four seasons in the NFL.
Originally a second-round pick by the Saints in the 2016 NFL Draft, Bell is second in the NFL in forced fumbles since 2016, just one of the impressive traits that he’ll take to Cincinnati.
