Former Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott not likely to be suspended after incident with security guard

Apparently what happens in Vegas doesn’t necessarily stay there.

Former Ohio State running back was summoned to the principle’s office after getting into some hot water on the playground in Sin City, but it appears he’ll miss detention this time.

Video surfaced of Elliott bumping a security guard to the ground and being handcuffed earlier this spring in Las Vegas. He was not charged with anything and released shortly after, but that didn’t stop Roger Goodell from meeting with the star Cowboy running back.

And … for now at least, it appears as though Elliott will not be suspended according to Jame Slater of the NFL Network.

What does seem to be apparent though is that Elliott was talked to and asked to provide a public apology for his actions. He did so via his Twitter feed earlier Tuesday.

Elliott has continued to make news on and off the field. He’s a dynamic playmaker at the running back position, and has done some extremely charitable things off the field. However, he continues to make questionable decisions and judgement calls off of it.

Hopefully this is a moment in which Elliott can simply let his play on the field make most of the news.
