Former Ohio State receiver Corey Smith arrested over outstanding warrants and shots fired

Former Ohio State wide-receiver Corey Smith was arrested Saturday for firing shots and for outstanding warrants according to a Tweet from the Columbus Police Department.

He was previously wanted by U.S. Marshals for warrants on aggravated robbery in the Akron area as well and taken into custody.

Corey Smith played for the Buckeyes from 2014 to 2016 as a JUCO transfer and was a part of Urban Meyer’s national-title winning team. We’ll have more on this story as it develops.
