Former Ohio State guard Keyshawn Woods to work out for Charlotte Hornets

When Keyshawn Woods decided to transfer to Ohio State from Wake Forest as a graduate transfer last season, his primary goal in mind was to make the NCAA Tournament. Consider that mission accomplished and then some, as the Buckeyes won a game in an upset of Iowa State in the tournament as well.

Of course getting a shot to further his career in the NBA isn’t a bad thing to keep in mind as well, and it appears as though Woods might get a shot to show what he can do according to a announcement on Twitter. The Charlotte Hornets announced a few NBA Draft workouts for Monday, and Woods is among those getting some eye balls on him.

For Woods, it has to be especially sweet being from Charlotte and a native North Carolinian himself.

Woods had an up and down season for Ohio State but really began to turn it on at the tail-end of the regular season and into the postseason. He finally found his confidence, and without his heroics heading down the stretch of the season and in the Big Ten Tournament, the Buckeyes most likely would have been headed for the NIT instead of the Big Dance.

Now he’ll get a shot to show what he brings in an overall floor game for the NBA types.
