Former Ohio State defensive tackle Malik Barrow to transfer to UCF after coming out of retirement

It wasn’t long ago when news broke on former Ohio State defensive tackle Malik Barrow’s desire to get back into college football. If anyone had been snake-bitten with injury, Barrow would fit the bill. So much so in fact that he medically retired from football all together while trying his best to get back on the field in Columbus.

After a second opinion however, Barrow got good news and decided to come out of a far too young retirement to transfer to a different program. And it appears he now has a destination down in his home state of Florida.

According to an article By Matt Baker of the Tampa Bay Times, Barrow is set to transfer to the University of Central Florida as a graduate transfer to continue chasing his dream of playing big-time college football.

Barrow was a four-star prospect out of Tampa Bay Tech when he committed to Ohio State in 2015, but he battled a pair of knee injuries that he just couldn’t overcome.

Here’s hoping for the best for the former Buckeye.
