Former Ohio state defensive tackle Malik Barrow to transfer from program after coming out of retirement from injury

We’ve got some more transfer news to pass on. According to an announcement on his Twitter feed, former Ohio State defensive tackle Malik Barrow will be transferring from the program and immediate eligible wherever he goes.

He’ll have at least two years of eligibility remaining, and could potentially gain an extra one with a medical redshirt through the NCAA appeal process.

Barrow signed with Ohio State as a four-star prospect out of Tampa, Florida in the class of 2016 but had been saddled with injury, including an ACL tear in 2017 that led to him announcing his retirement in October of 2018.

Now, it appears, he is coming out of retirement and will look to jump-start his football career elsewhere. All we can say is good luck. Once a Buckeye, always a Buckeye.

As we hear more about his plans and where Barrow eventually lands, we’ll have more on this story.
