Former Ohio State defensive lineman Adolphus Washington signs with Dolphins

Former Ohio State Buckeyes defensive tackle Aldophus Washington has signed a new contract with the Miami Dolphins.

Heading to South Beach is exciting for the lineman after three seasons in the Northeast, two-and-a-half with Buffalo and just half a season with Cincinnati. Washington will now be tasked with trying to jumpstart his career in Miami.

He recorded just eight tackles and one sack last season, playing just five games all season. He must be more productive and stay injury-free this season.

Pro Football Talk, among other sources, was the first to report the signing of Washington, which is an interesting one for the Dolphins.

Still just 24, Washington was the third-round pick of the Buffalo Bills after an illustrious four-year career at OSU. However, his play hasn’t quite translated to the NFL.

Hopefully a fresh start is what the former Buckeye needs in order to finally feel at home the way he did in Columbus.
