Former Ohio State DE Joey Bosa listed as No. 56 on NFL Top 100 Players for 2019

The NFL is continuing its countdown of the top 100 players in the NFL, and checking in at No. 56 is former Ohio State and current Los Angeles Charges defensive end Joey Bosa.

Bosa hit the ground running upon his arrival in the NFL. He was drafted in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft as the No. 3 pick. He missed the first four games of his career because of a hamstring injury, but finished the 2016 season as the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year. He tallied 41 tackles and 10.5 sacks. He followed that up with a Pro-Bowl year in 2017, but had an injury-riddled 2018 season.

At Ohio State, Bosa was a beast. He started immediately as a freshman and was a factor from the time he stepped on the field. He was a freshman All-American and followed that up with a slew of accolades during his next two seasons, including unanimous First-Team All-American honors in 2014.

Bosa is the second former Ohio State player to appear on the NFL Top 100 list, joining former Buckeye defensive end Cameron Heyward at No. 88.

There’s sure to be more as the countdown continues. And yeah, we’ll let you know when they happen.
