Things may not have worked out for former Ohio State one-and-done center Greg Oden in the NBA, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have a little game left in him. He just recently obtained his undergraduate degree from OSU and going down the path of a coaching career, but he’s still playing.
He had a cameo-type appearance with the Ohio State alumni team — or rather the basketball artist formerly known as Team Scarlet & Gray, and now he’s back.
Oden is on the roster and playing with the Aliens in Ice Cube’s BIG 3 League and doing quite well. In fact, he’s dunking on folks just like many of us remember. Watch a couple of highlights shared by Ohio State Hoops via video from BIG 3 and see Mr. Oden do what he does in his neighborhood.
He might not look quite as agile and quite as explosive as his time in Columbus, but this doesn’t look like a guy who’s washed up by any means.
Looks pretty healthy and pretty effective to me. My what could have been had Oden stayed healthy.
