Convicted paedophile and former NSW Labor minister Milton Orkopoulos has been charged with breaching his parole for the second time in a month.
Orkopoulos was arrested at his Malabar home in Sydney's east and taken to Maroubra Police Station this morning.
The 62-year-old has been charged with three counts of failing to comply with his reporting obligations.
Orkopoulos will remain behind bars tonight and will apply for bail tomorrow.
He chose to remain in his cell while his case was briefly mentioned at Waverley Court this afternoon.
The former NSW Labor minister was also arrested last month over two alleged breaches of parole.
Police allege he had failed to report changed personal information as per his obligations.
His lawyer had told the court the alleged breaches related to a conversation he had with his granddaughter and an Instagram account set up in his own name.
Orkopoulos was found guilty of 30 drug and child sex offences in 2008 after it was revealed he had been raping minors.
He was released from Long Bay prison in December after serving 11 years behind bars.
He was ordered to wear an electronic monitoring bracelet and was banned from approaching his victims.
