Former Notts County owner Alan Hardy hints at book documenting highs and lows of his time at Meadow Lane

Former Notts County owner Alan Hardy has hinted at a book being written documenting the highs and lows of his ultimately ill-fated time at Meadow Lane.

Danish brothers Christoffer and Alexander Reedtz have taken over the National League side, who last season were relegated from League Two with Hardy at the helm.

He took over the club in 2017 and enjoyed success at the start of his tenure, as the Magpies, under then-manager Kevin Nolan, came within one game of the 2018 League Two play-off final.

However, last season ended in disaster as the world's oldest professional club were relegated from the Football League for the first time in their long and proud history.

Back using Twitter after a six-month break, Hardy, whose business Paragon Interiors was placed into administration earlier in the year, hinted he would be telling his story in print.

Replying to a tweet about the the last few seasons on Trentside, he wrote: "It’ll all be in the book with all proceeds going to a children charity. The amazing highs, the incredible lows. The great advice I ignored and poor advice I followed.

"Hindsight is a wonderful thing but I gave it absolutely everything; heart and soul. Hero to zero in 12 months."
