Former Notts County defender Jamie Turley offered new Leyton Orient contract after title win

Former Notts County defender Jamie Turley has been rewarded for his part in Leyton Orient’s return to the Football League by being offered a new contract.

Turley left to join the Os from the Magpies in January and went onto play 10 games for Justin Edinburgh’s side who claimed the National League title.

He also just missed out being a Wembley winner at the weekend as Orient lost the FA Trophy final to AFC Fylde who secured a 1-0 victory.

But as a result of his performances, Orient are now hoping to keep Turley at the club as they look for a successful return to the EFL.

Turley made 19 appearances for Notts having arrived in September on a free transfer under the former manager Harry Kewell, but was deemed surplus to requirements.

He was one of 10 players to be offered new contract at Orient, with Jobi McAnuff and Craig Clay already putting pen to paper on a new contract at Brisbane Road.
