Former Nottingham Forest transfer target Wes Foderingham has been released by Scottish giants Rangers.
Forest were keen on signing the former Swindon goalkeeper during Mark Warburton’s tenure as City Ground boss, and that interest was retained when Aitor Karanka took over, though a move never materialised.
The 29-year-old will now seek new employment after Gers boss Steven Gerrard opted against giving him a new deal, just a day after the Scottish Premiership season was ended, with Celtic crowned champions for a ninth consecutive time.
Foderingham was released after five years at Ibrox, and departs the club among others, including ex-Liverpool youngster Jon Flanagan and Andy Halliday.
"An incredible journey and an unforgettable five years," he wrote on Twitter.

"But now is the time to move on.
"All the best in the future. Once a Ger, always a Ger."
Boss Steven Gerrard also paid tribute to those departing the Glasgow club, saying: "I want to recognise the contribution of the players who are leaving our squad at the end of this season.
"There is a lot more that people contribute to, away from the fixtures each weekend and I commend each of the departing players for what they have given to us day in and day out.
"Work continues on a daily basis in planning and preparation for next season."
