Former Nottingham Forest striker Nathan Tyson returns to Notts County on trial

Former Nottingham Forest striker Nathan Tyson is back at Notts County on trial.

The veteran forward was named in the Magpies starting line-up to take on Ilkeston Town this afternoon.

Tyson, 37, is a free agent after leaving League One side Wycombe at the end of last season.

He is best known for his time across the River Trent with Forest, but also had a loan spell at Notts in 2014, when he failed to score in 10 appearances.

Tyson was one was of four trialists in the Magpies starting XI as they also included ex-Coventry winger Kyel Reid, another former Coventry man in Dion Kelly-Evans and ex-Port Vale defender Remie Streete.

Chris Camwell, another ex-Coventry player, is on the bench.

Notts XI: Fitzsimons, Kelly-Evans, Bird, Streete, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Rose, Doyle, Reid, Boldewijn, Tyson, Dennis.
