Former Nottingham Forest starlet Arvin Appiah registered for Almeria's reserves

Former Nottingham Forest forward Arvin Appiah has been registered to play for Almeria’s reserve team.

The 18-year-old completed his move to the Spanish second division club for a reported fee of £8m earlier this month.

That deal made him the most expensive signing in Almeria’s club history.

Appiah came up through the ranks at the Nigel Doughty Academy and made eight appearances for the Reds’ first-team, before signing a five-year contract with Almeria.

He only made his debut for Forest last season, but had featured just once this term under Sabri Lamouchi.

Now Spanish news outlet AS say that Appiah has been registered to play for Almeria’s second team, and it looks like he’ll have to wait for his chance to make an impression in the first-team.

After leaving the City Ground, Appiah posted a farewell message on social media, where he labelled the Reds a “special club”.
