Former Nottingham Forest star enjoys a day to remember as he makes full Olympiacos debut

Former Nottingham Forest midfielder Tiago Silva has finally made his full debut for Olympiacos - and it turned out to be a day to remember.

Silva joined the Greek giants in October but missed the weeks that followed due to injury, before struggling to force his way into contention.

He was on the bench for the last three games in the Super League, coming off the bench for nine minutes against Volos as he provided an assist.

The Portuguese midfielder made his first league start on Sunday, playing as a number 10 in a 6-0 win against PAS Lamia.

Although Silva did not get on the scoresheet, two fellow former Reds did.

Andreas Bouchalakis opened the scoring after 13 minutes with Hilal Soudani getting the fourth goal after 82 minutes.

Forest have missed Silva this term after he completed a single season in Nottingham, although former manager Sabri Lamouchi says the player wanted to move to Athens.

“When the players ask to leave the club, he needs to say, ‘I want to leave’," Lamouchi said in October.

“I was so surprised when I came back after the summer and he said, ‘I want to leave the club, I want to go to Olympiacos’."
