Former Nottingham Forest midfielder John Bostock is on the lookout for a new club after being released by Toulouse.
The 28-year-old spent last season on loan at the City Ground, but made just nine appearances in all competitions in a Forest shirt, providing two assists during the games.
In a statement on their official website, Toulouse confirmed the departure.
“Arrived at the club on July 5, 2018, John Bostock and the TFC separate by mutual agreement,” it read.
Bostock started his career at Crystal Palace before moving to Tottenham Hotspur in 2008.
He has played for a number of English clubs, including Swindon Town, Hull City and Brentford.
The midfielder joined French club, Toulouse, from Turkish side Bursaspor in 2018. He made 20 appearances for the club, before joining Forest on loan last summer.
He left Forest in the summer and sent a message to fans upon his departure.
“A surprising season in many ways but it’s been a huge honour representing this special club over the past year,” he wrote on Instagram.
“I would have loved to had more of an opportunity to help the team on the pitch but even getting to play for a minute in front of a packed City Ground wearing the famous Garibaldi Red is many a kids dream so I’m grateful.
“Thank you to all the fans who made me feel welcome from day one.
“My teammates who’ve endured/enjoyed my onslaught of daily banter. And the staff who make the club tick behind the scenes.
“To end the season like that was tough for everyone but I believe this club will be back where it belongs soon."
